YAXI TV Editorial Team · March 10, 2026
Key terms in digital out-of-home advertising and digital signage, defined for venues, advertisers, and operators.
- CPM (Cost Per Mille)
- The price an advertiser pays for one thousand ad impressions. DOOH CPMs typically range from $5 to $50+ depending on venue type and market.
- Dayparting
- Scheduling content or ads to play during specific time windows — breakfast promotions in the morning, dinner specials in the evening.
- DOOH
- Digital Out-of-Home. Advertising displayed on internet-connected digital screens in public or commercial spaces.
- DSP
- Demand-Side Platform. Software that advertisers use to manage campaigns and bid on ad impressions across multiple SSPs.
- Fill Rate
- The percentage of available ad slots actually filled with paying ads. Higher fill rate means more revenue per screen.
- Proof-of-Play (PoP)
- A machine-generated log that records every ad impression with a timestamp, screen ID, creative ID, and duration. The primary accountability mechanism in DOOH.
- SSP
- Supply-Side Platform. Software that aggregates ad inventory from screen owners and makes it available to advertisers. YAXI TV functions as an SSP for its venue network.
