How to Choose the Right Screens for Your Venue

Not all screens perform equally in commercial environments. Commercial displays are built for 16-24 hour daily operation and higher ambient brightness. Consumer TVs are rated for home use and can fail prematurely in venues running them continuously.

Key Hardware Decisions

• Brightness: 400+ nits for bright restaurants and retail; 250 nits is sufficient for dim bars and medical waiting rooms
• Size: One inch of screen height per foot of viewing distance is the practical minimum for text legibility
• Media Player: Amazon Fire TV Stick, Android TV box, or built-in Android TV/Google TV are all compatible with YAXI TV
• Placement: Mount in dwell zones — above service counters, in waiting areas — not above entrances where viewers are in motion
